In the case of shelter puppies whose age is not known, an estimated age of over 16-weeks is accepted. At the end of this course, you will have the opportunity to test for the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title. Dogs must be free of aggression towards people and other dogs.
This Course starts at $485 (price subject to change due to travel distance) includes:
Sit
Down
Stay
Leash Walking/Heel through crowds
Come when called from a 20ft distance
Socializing to distractions
Greeting other dogs and people
Supervised separation
AKC CGC test (Upon Passing, the evaluator will send the testing form to the AKC for confirmation and will give the owner 1 copy of the 3-part test form. We will mail out for the owner the original copy to AKC and the owner will receive back the AKC CGC certification and additionally will get an official title on their dogs title record, example: DOGS NAME CGC)
DISCLAIMER: Owners must obtain some form of ID for their puppy (Collar tag, tattoo, microchip, etc.) and must have proof of DHPP and Rabies vaccine. The match regulations of the AKC impose minimum age requirements of at least 6-Months for A, OA, and OB sanctioned matches and at lease 3-Months at B matches. Owners must attend all 6 classes, have a nylon leash (4-6ft) and have training treats (soft treats).
